Eruben

(EHR-oo-bahn)
The Eruben people came from the extreme northwest of Scandiaca. The primarily inhabited the lands around Brendis Ban, and south, past the city-state of Norvino.

They were disciplined, and well organized as a people. They had the most detailed and complete set of laws and codes which the various tribes were all to adhere to. They were very welcoming of outsiders, as they tended to absorb cultural ideas from faraway peoples. The Eruben did have their own language, which is still in use throughout the continent today since it was passed down to other territories during the Halcyon Age when the Eruben people gained control over most of the realm.

Their lasting impact can be seen today in their architecture. They were able to build complex wooden structures with intricate designs which influenced many others in Scandiaca. For their art, they focused on creatures of the sky; eagles, owls, and dragons. Many wooden statues show these likenesses.

Jagan

(juh-GAHN)
The Jagan people dominated the central plains region south of Crown Lake between the Onkodis and Titan Mountain ranges. It encompasses the entirety of the Orandine, Squall, and Sarkain riverways. This region includes two major city-states: Kingsburgh and Three Rivers.

The central plains region was perfect for agriculture, which allowed the Jagan people to grow quickly, and expand rapidly across the entire region. The presence of the expansive riverways systems throughout the central plains region allowed the Jagan people easy transportation and trade options which in turn allowed the various smaller kingdoms within the region to work together (though smaller conflicts between kingdoms were somewhat common as well).

The ease of trade and travel within the region also allowed the Jagan people to form a unified religion. The predominant religion of the region was that of Tokumism. However, the Jagan people are also credited with the origin of the Sociocentrism philosophy as well.

Montri

(MON-tree)
The Montri culture emerged in the southwestern corner of Scandiaca. The region south of Crystal Bay and west of the Onkodis Mountain range is where this culture was centered. This region includes one large city-state: Korid.

The Montri people we very war-like and competition for resources was a common occurrence in the region. The Montri people saw almost constant conflict between tribes and settlements throughout their history. Due to geographical containment, the Montri warred with each other more than they did with other cultures.

The Montri built strong fortresses and impressive structures throughout their history. Their building techniques have been copied by other cultures and they are considered some of the best architects and crafters in the realm. This is also the home of Montri Shamanism, which is one of the biggest religions of the continent.

Oddra

(ODD-ruh)
The Oddra culture is dominant in the northeastern corner of the continent. They expanded east of the Elder Weald all the way down the east coast between the ocean and the Titan Mountain range to the west.

The Oddran people were a very well-structured society. They value order and laws, but allow for all within their society to benefit equally from them. The Oddran people were the first to create parliamentary types of government, and today, they continue to reject hereditary rule.

The Oddran religion is the most popular polytheistic religion in Scandiaca. Although centered in the northeast, its influence can be seen all across the continent.

Ridimok

(RID-ee-mahk)
The Ridimok (more commonly referred to as simply, Ridi) are a collection of people who occupied the northern territorial expanse. Their reach was from Grim Valley to the west, all the way east until they reached the Elder Weald. The went as far south as the Navia River Valley near where the city-state of Norvino stands. This places most of their culture and impact on the northern territory which is currently under the (loose) control of the city-state of Aedok.

The Ridimok were a loose collection of clan-based tribes who rarely worked together, though they never waged any meaningful wars with other clans either. They did interact with other clans enough that they had a shared language (referred to now as "Ridi") which is still spoken in the area even today.

They had numerous artistic endeavors as well, including colorful ceramics inlaid with beads or agates, as well as shells from sea creatures used as necklaces or other forms of jewelry. Imagery includes depictions of fantastical seascapes as well as normal animals such as water buffalo, which were domesticated in the area.
